Tell us a bit about you and your background.

I’m Sophie Charlesworth, the founder of Enerji London. Before founding Enerji, I spent years in the beauty and wellness industry. My passion lies in helping people feel their best, both inside and out. This background led me to realise that true beauty radiates from within, which inspired me to create Enerji - a brand focused on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.

Your journey with Enerji London is inspiring. What initially sparked your passion for merging fashion and wellness, and how did this lead to the creation of the world’s first crystal-adorned, luxury lingerie brand?

Thank you! My passion for merging fashion and wellness really comes from my personal journey of wellness. I started by exploring many different self-care practices and quickly became fascinated in the transformative power of beautiful lingerie which I wore daily as a secret boost of confidence and empowerment. When I discovered the world of crystal healing, I started carrying them in my bras and noticed my life changing in ways I could have never imagined. Realising there must be a more elegant (and comfortable!) solution to this daily ritual, the idea of Enerji was officially born.

Spirituality can mean different things to different people. How do you personally define spirituality, and how has this perspective shaped Enerji London’s mission and products?

To me, spirituality is about connection - connecting with your inner self, the universe, and the energy around you. It’s about living with intention, being present, and honouring your true self. This perspective is central to Enerjis mission. Every piece we create, from the natural floral designs to the interchangeable crystal healing pendants, is crafted to empower women to reconnect with themselves, their desires and the world around them.

As an accredited crystal healer, can you explain how lingerie adorned with your specific crystals contributes to the overall energy and impact of the wearer?

Crystals have been used for centuries for their healing properties, each one carrying a unique vibrational energy. When worn close to the body, especially in such intimate pieces as lingerie, these crystals are believed to interact with the body’s energy field, promoting balance and well-being. For example, rose quartz is known for its ability to open the heart chakra, promoting love and self-compassion. Wearing lingerie adorned with rose quartz can help the wearer feel more connected and loving, both towards themselves and others.

Enerji London’s pieces are designed to tell a story and promote an intentional way of living. What message or story do you hope people take away when they wear your lingerie?

I hope that when people wear Enerji’s lingerie, they feel a deep sense of empowerment and self-love. Each piece is crafted with the intention of reminding the wearer of their own strength, beauty, and powerful inner energy.

The story I want to tell is one of embracing your true self and living with purpose and passion.

Can you tell us about your current collections? The inspiration behind them, the unique features of each collection, and any standout pieces?

Our current collections are inspired by Mother Earth and its energies. The Eden collection features inky black silks that capture the dark, mysterious feminine energy of the night sky. This collection is designed to empower and evoke a sense of profound inner strength and sensuality.

In contrast, the Botanica collection is light and ethereal, inspired by the sun’s vibrant and powerful energy. This collection features delicate floral patterns in pearly, luminous fabrics, symbolising renewal and light. Each piece is designed to evoke a sense of power, beauty and radiance.

Any idols you would love to see wearing Enerji London?

There are so many incredible women who embody the spirit of Enerji London. I would love to see someone like Bella Hadid or Beyonce wearing our pieces. They both have this incredible mix of strength, grace, and a deep connection to their values, which resonates so well with the brand.

Intention-setting is a common theme across both our brands. For someone new to mindfulness, what’s one simple daily practice you’d recommend? Could you walk us through how to implement it effectively?

A simple yet powerful daily practice I’d recommend is setting a morning intention with a crystal. Before starting your day, take a few moments to breathe deeply and reflect on what you wish to invite into your day - whether it's calm, confidence, clarity, or joy. Select a crystal that resonates with this intention; for instance, amethyst for tranquility or Tigers eye for confidence. Hold the crystal in your hand, close your eyes, and visualise carrying this energy with you throughout your day. Keep the crystal with you and each time you touch or see it, pause to reconnect with yourself, letting the stone serve a reminder to stay aligned with your intention.

This daily practice is one of the most profound gifts you can give yourself, helping you connect more deeply with yourself, your desires and the life you truly want.

How can someone maintain this practice over time?

Consistency is key! Make it a non-negotiable part of your morning routine, just like brushing your teeth. It helps to keep your crystals in a spot where you’ll see them first thing in the morning. Over time, this practice will become second nature, and you’ll start to notice how setting an intention shapes your day and your mindset.

What advice would you give to someone who’s just starting to explore self-care?

Start small and be kind to yourself. Self-care isn’t about sudden grand transformations; it’s about tuning in to what you need in the moment and honouring that. Whether it’s about dressing up into your favourite pieces of jewellery or clothing, taking a walk in nature, or simply saying no to something that doesn’t serve you, self-care is about creating space for yourself.

Remember, it’s a journey, and it’s okay to start with small steps.

The fashion and wellness spaces are rapidly evolving, particularly with the growing focus on holistic lifestyles. What trends or shifts in these areas are you most excited about?

I’m particularly excited about the shift towards sustainability and the growing recognition of the mind-body connection. There’s a movement towards fashion that not only looks good but also feels good on a deeper level - both ethically and energetically. I’m also excited to see more people embracing crystals as part of their daily wellness routines, encouraged by celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Miranda Kerr incorporating them into their product lines.

Starting and growing a brand that blends creativity, spirituality, and business is no small feat. What key lessons have you learned along the way that you wish you had known when you started?

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to your vision, even when it feels like the world is pulling you in different directions.
